I am a Junior in the BFA at SUNY Oneonta, after I finish my bachelors I hope to develop a personal practice and eventually attend grad school. I aspire to become an art teacher in a high school. I enjoy making visual texturally engaging art that speaks to the human experience and my own life.
When someone visits my profile I hope they learn what making art means to me and that texture and tactility are very important to my work. I hope they feel they can relate to my work and it is displayed in an accessible format.
I think the images I chose showcase my growth skills and competencies by being strong examples of working within specific materials with honed in ideas and themes that follow throughout. It is hard to land in one place in a body of work. Through my photos and design of my page I want it to be evident that I have worked hard to create this landing place for my work and pick out themes that personally mean the most to create from.
